Vertical faces--walls, primarily--call for the use of the 2 1/2" x 8" x 1/2" facia, and its chief complement is the "side end" corner available for installations that return at an outside corner where two planes converge. This same corner may be utilized at jack and true arches and at window, door, or fireplace opening lintels as a rowlock or soldier course. Horizontal plane surfaces--floors and slabs, primarily--call for the use of the 4"x 8" x 1/2" paver, and this unit is complemented by three different corner pieces. A fundamental reason Brik-Art veneers are unrivalled in creating realistic decor is the "top side," "top end," and "top side end," in pairs (both left and right configuration), all needed, for example, on steps where treads and risers converge with returns. Rarely imitated, virtually never replicated by other manufacturers, these corners, in combination, create near-unique perfection and rule out the need to imperfectly form corners by mitering pieces.
